“Two things I ask of you,
deny them not to me before I die:
Put falsehood and lying far from me,
give me neither poverty nor riches;
provide me only with the food I need;
Lest, being full, I deny you,
saying, “Who is the LORD?”
Or, being in want, I steal,
and profane the name of my God.”
This should be the place we most desperately seek. Not just looking for it, but taking actions to achieve it.
If you are bless with riches, find a worthy cause to give to. If you are without, find a way to provide for yourself.
Most importantly, keep deception and lying far from me. Not just the big lies that obviously hurt others, but the little white lies that deceive others. All lies and deceptions hurt someone.
