You do not know the last day you will live on this earth, but you should be prepared. Is everything in order for your family if you do not live beyond today? All legal documents in their place? All spiritual decision fully decided and followed?
In my reading today I read a parable about being ready for the Lord to return. (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+25%3A1-13&version=NKJV)
The saddest thing I think I could ever here from God would be, “I do not know you.” Do you know Him? have you been working to build a relationship with God? All aspects of Him? The Father? The Son? The Holy Spirit?
I do not know you… What devastating words.
I prefer to be known today.
