We tend to want to fix things, well, not just things… everything.
This includes ourselves, but we are not broken. We might be misused vessels, but we are not broken. We were made exactly the way God intended. We might be doing things God never intended, but we were never broken.
A broken vessel is no longer useful as it cannot carry the items intended. Think of a vase with a hole in the bottom. It will no longer hold the water it needs to help support the flowers. We are intended to carry the Holy Spirit; there are no holes where the Spirit drips out of us, but we fill ourselves with other items, making it harder and harder to fit the Holy Spirit.
You are not broken and do not need to be patched or have any holes filled. Though you might need to evaluate what you have filled yourself with, that limits the space for the Spirit.
