Yesterday I read an article about a place of solace, a rejuvenation place, a place where you recharge your mind and soul. I have had a few of these over the years and recently I have been looking for another one. It seems to be a never-ending battle to have a “prayer closet”. Plans change, schedules change, rooms change, and most recently the whole world changed with a pandemic.
Then it dawned on me the renewing of my mind plays a part in this. Every waking moment can be a place of renewal. I have the Holy Spirit of God with me at all times. Everything is under the power of God. There is nothing worthy to pull me out of a state of recharged mind and soul. I walk in the presence of God.
It is only when we rest in this truth that the place no longer matters. It is an always state, as long as we allow it.
I know life happens and things get messy, but that is no excuse for a child of God to act any way other than a peaceful warrior. This warrior’s battle is not of the things of this earth, but over the ideas and thoughts that continuously pull us out of constant prayer and communion with the living God.
Today, be at peace. Today, be at rest. Today, be rejuvenated. Today, be in the presence of God and know He is with you, it might just change your life.
