But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. On account of My name, they will deliver you to the synagogues and prisons, and they will bring you before kings and governors. This will be your opportunity to serve as witnesses. So make up your mind not to worry beforehand how to defend yourselves. For I will give you speech and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you will be put to death. And you will be hated by everyone because of My name. Yet not even a hair of your head will perish. By your patient endurance you will gain your souls. Luke 21:12-19
This was in my reading this morning. I had a few dreams this evening that this cleared up.
I dreamt of a person I used to work with. This person was always cheerful even in the midst of any turmoil and always seems to have a childlike sense of adventure. We were sitting in the grass in a field talking about how to slow down and be more observant of the things around us.
The second dream was of my wife and I driving to our new home. To get to the home you had to pass through groupings of smaller homes and then a group of town homes that formed a huge circle. Inside this circle were some modest sized homes.
The first dream was about preparing myself to show that patient endurance even in the face of adversity. The second dream was showing me the security in the Lord that will stand to help strengthen my faith and endurance.
