Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
my guilt I covered not.
I said, “I confess my faults to the LORD,”
and you took away the guilt of my sin.
I confess not only to the Lord, but to all who have ears to hear, let them hear!
In my heart I know the power of the Lord, but in times of trouble, like the Joro spiders that have covered our landscapes this year, I have allowed my soul to be entangled in a web that has kept the Lord’s Grace at a distance.
I have sinned in that the calling of God on my life is to show fruit… love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, goodness and self-control. I have withheld this fruit and I confess this to all who would see it.
