Looking to loose something on purpose

“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me,
and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;
and whoever does not take up his cross
and follow after me is not worthy of me.
Whoever finds his life will lose it,
and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”

The strong love you have for those in your family should pale in comparison to the love you have for your Savior.

Holding on to your way of life with a death grip will gain you nothing, but releasing you life for God’s work will give you life abundant.
