A little fire to set it ablaze

Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise.
Be earnest, therefore, and repent.

Somedays during my reading I get these great encouraging nuggets of Gods truth that warm my heart.

Today was not one of those days. I felt warmth with the verse above, but it was more about setting my feet to the fire and knowing the repenting I need to do. It is never an easy thing to see the areas you need to change and even harder changing them.

The encouraging part is this though, “Those whom I love”. If we are not being reproved or chastised, then we should worry. God is looking to make us the best us we can be. He is not looking for me to be anyone but me and He knows the areas He need to push me to make me the best me possible.

Where is He reproving who you are? How is He chastising you? Do you see the items He is looking to correct about your behavior, thoughts and attitudes?
