ALL

In all circumstances, give thanks,
for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18

What a great piece of scripture. So how do we process the beginning of this scripture? ALL CIRCUMSTANCES? Clearly all has a different meaning in this scripture, right?

It is a blessing to see that huge-little word “All”. I once heard it said, “All means all, that’s all, all means”.

Do these thoughts come to mind? “But God you don’t know my current circumstance” or “God you’ve never experience my … fear, depression, loss, anxiety, etc.” In all circumstances… ALL, give thanks! There is no room in all for exceptions. Everything, give thanks. We may not understand what God is doing, but thank Him for your current situation. He knows what He is doing.

Oh and the statement “you’ve never experienced my( fill in the blank)”, yes He did, Jesus lived in a flesh suit just like you. Read scripture and you will see the Lord suffer through all things you have experienced.

ALL things are in His control, even when we are out of control.

That all said, God loves you, Jesus loves you, the Holy Spirit loves you and I love you.
