Today I look to the Lord to fill me and others through the Holy Spirit. The doldrums may set in on us as we do our daily tasks, but we need to renew ourselves to let our actions be to for Lord.
We need to remember that today’s work is for the Lord. We do not work to satisfy a human. We work to the glory of God. In this, there is no need for worry and no room for pride.
Who do you work for today?
Today, I will once again be working for my Lord. Each day however I have to ask myself a question. Am I working remotely or in community with my boss? It is easy to fill my day working remotely on tasks from my personal 2 – do list from days past. The best days for me are when I willing step into community with my Lord. On those days I work with Him on His active and living list He has for us to complete together. It makes each task feel like Holy Ground. These are the days I now cherish. But old work habits try to emerge. The struggle is real for me to work remotely away from any real conflict or concerns. It is easy, and I can still get credit for my days efforts. Then I remember it is much more fun to watch God step on someone’s toes in person, than to just hear about it in an email.
Blessings, Ralph
