Peter said to him,
“Master, why can I not follow you now?
I will lay down my life for you.”
Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me?
Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow
before you deny me three times.”
Even those closest to Jesus had a hard time laying down their lives and trusting Jesus, to truly trust Him with everything. It is like the vows we take when married, in sickness and in health… no matter the situation you find yourself in, be true to God. Focus not on self, but instead focus on Him and what He loves.
And hey, guess what He loves. Everyone, even tho use who would do you harm or disgrace you.
