Updated expectations

A recent blog entry was about expectations and hope. As I have spoken to others about this idea, I have developed more in-depth understanding.

The concept is this. The closer your hopes are to your expectations the higher the risk of disappointment and frustration. There should be a large gap between the two.

When I was sharing this with a person I work with, she made me see a very important point. This idea is for other people because we can not change them. For self, expectations and hopes should be extremely close, if not in complete alignment. We have control of self and our actions and behavior.

Do you agree?
