I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked man, says the Lord,
but rather in his conversion, that he may live.
As Jesus takes no pleasure in the death of a man, we too should take no pleasure in the rightful judgement of evil nature. We should not have pleasure in any type of suffering. Our pleasure should be in seeing someone step out of there sinful nature.
And even if I should judge, my judgment is valid,
because I am not alone,
but it is I and the Father who sent me.
Even in your law it is written
that the testimony of two men can be verified.
Jesus says He does not judge anyone. I need to review, but I cannot recall any scripture about Jesus making judgement on anyone. His second statement was that even if He did judge it would be valid, because His judgement comes from Him and the Father.
I find it interesting Jesus calls it “your law”. In my mind the understanding is this, law is to help us connect and have a good standing with God, so that we can have a relationship with Him. Jesus has that relationship perfectly and the law is fulfilled, but not meant for Jesus.
Then the final verse and thoughts are this. It is said judge not least ye be judged, but we also have the law where testimony of two men can be verified and judgement can take place. If you read the scripture of Daniel this morning you can see the verification process he used. Though the two men made false accusations, the judgement came from God, through Daniel.
