We have lost our passions and our ability to produce fruit. Why? Is it because we have given up and stopped working as hard? I venture to say no, we are 2 to 3 times busier. We fill our time serving men (and women) and a lot of that serving is self.
We need to serve the Lord in all we do. Yes, yes we are called to be servants to others in this life, but this is through God not through self.
The work I am doing, is it for God, for self or for another person? How does God benefit from me doing what I am doing? Is the thing I am doing detrimental to God’s message? Is God being glorified by the everything I do?
If you can’t find a way to honor God in your current job, maybe you are doing the wrong thing.
