whoever follows me will have the light of life.”
This was one of the Bible verses I read today. We live in a dark place (the world) and Jesus is the available light that brightens our path, so that we can see the direction to travel and pitfalls and stumbling blocks to avoid.
But read carefully. He says, “whoever follows me”. He is your guide. He carries the light, you do not. You must follow Him in order to see the path ahead of you.
Sometimes we I do not follow and I am wandering in the dark, falling into every pit and stubbing my toe on every stone. Oh how dark is the darkness that we choose to walk in sometimes.
Thank you to those who are following your guide and see me on the path, stumbling in the darkness. You who follow the light and ask Jesus to offer its illumination to me.
The path is very bright today, but will I wander off?
