Blessed hatred

Blessed are you when people hate you,
and when they exclude and insult you,
and denounce your name as evil
on account of the Son of Man.
Rejoice and leap for joy on that day!

Translation: As soon as we finally realize human approval is not what blesses us, we can rejoice. Using all of your time and energy to make people like you at the expense of your relationship with Christ is a curse, not a blessing.

Do what is right, even if it is not popular. Christianity is not a popularity contest.

This is a hard one for me, based on my personality traits. God saw fit to create me as an encourager and an influencer. My God given strength is a weakness to my relationship with God, if I do not keep myself in check. I need to always verify if what I am doing is pleasing to God, before asking if it is pleasing to other people.
