Sometimes the things we do that help change peoples lives are not made known to us. For it is not us who makes the change, but the Lord God.
We are actually made this way and meant to do the work of God without looking back at what changes are made in others. Christ himself said, “No one who sets a hand to the plow and looks to what was left behind is fit for the Kingdom of God.”
If we “look back” we run the risk of getting prideful and thinking we are the ones who made the change. Think about when we plant a seed. We might plant and water it, but only God can make it grow.
Today I will plow and maybe even get the blessing to harvest, but I will not make anything grow or change. God does those things and I am glad to be apart of His process.
