Are you listening?

This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased;
listen to him.

This is such a great scripture. So simplistic in its structure and content, but so hard from time to time.

Listen to him. What is Jesus saying that I need to listen to? Has he given me direct orders to accomplish? Did he present some profound message I need to decipher?

There is no need to decipher or figure out what Christ said when asked about the most important commandment.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Love God, Love others. Do you hear these words? Are you listening? Word are meant to entice actions. What good is it to just listen to words with out action? Do you Love God? how are you showing it? Do you love others? how are you showing it?

Challenge today… Show someone that you love them.
