Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord.
I have read that the word rest in this piece of scripture is not rest as in slumber or relaxation, but that of joy. Not worldly joy of, “ let me buy something to fill an emptiness or masssage my ego and pride”, but a joy of submission and obedience.
Oh how glorious to see those 2 words and not be up in arms about them.
Will I submit and obey today? Will you?
