Thankful for what?

In a world of trying times, where the stock market is in decline, your children or spouse is sick and even you dog isn’t acting the way she should, REMEMBER to be thankful.

I know, I know, it’s Thanksgiving week and everyone talks about being thankful during this time of year, but what if we woke up every morning with thankfulness in our hearts? I am thankful for so many things, but I tend to not see them until someone else mentions them.

Of course we need a little twist in this thankfulness. Think of the troubles you are facing today or have been facing your whole life. Those you are to be thankful for as well. Some read this and say, “You can’t be serious”, but think of it this way these troubles you face strengthen you and make you who you are. Jesus’ brother James took it a step further than just being thankful for these things. He said to consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds.

PURE JOY. The highest level of joy you can display towards the troubles and trials you face.

Today I am thankful for the troubles my family faces. How about you?
